Don’t let your high shine shoes crack

To protect the leather on patent leather and other high shine shoes ensure you rub leather nourishes into them. Once cracked they are destroyed that are again recycled for good purpose

Narrow vamp shoes are very slimming

The vamp of a shoe is the space where you insert your foot. The more the vamp the longer and slimmer you feet and legs will look.

Closed-in shoes and lace-ups

A closed-in shoe works best with trousers. Lace-up shoes should only be worn with trousers and definitely never in a traditional business environment. The more closed your shoe the longer your skirt should be.

Ankle straps can make your legs look shorter

Any straps around the ankle and over the foot will give a line across the foot and cause a break in the line of the leg. Shoes with straps can make a shapely ankle look thicker.

Square toes are more slimming than rounded toed shoes

A rounded-toe show will make your feet look wide. Square and pointed toed shoes are more flattering.

Remove the sales stickers from your shoes

It may go without saying but ensure you remove the stickers from the bottom of your new shoes. Otherwise when you walk people can see how much you paid for your shoes.

Get rid of the hair

If you have hairy feet, clench your teeth and get them waxed. No one wants to look at hobbit-feet in sandals.

Thick legs suit sling-back shoes

If your lower leg is thick, wear sling-back shoes. These create a narrower line to the leg and ankle.

Use a black marker for emergency repairs

In an emergency a black marker can be used to cover a small mark on a black pair of shoes until you can get them repaired.

Thick tights take up more room in a shoe

When shopping for shoes you intend to wear thick tights with, try them on with socks instead of fine stockings.

Keep your shoes current

Nothing looks worse than old dated shoes with a modern fashionable suit – and you know we notice.

Take old shoes in case new shoes hurt

New shoes should always be accompanied to work with some old favorites in your bag. There is nothing worse than having sore feet while you trying to think seriously or handle a work disaster.
