The Pap Test. Insert speculum, open sesame, in with long Q-tip and the gentle doctor swabs the opening of the cervix. The sample is sent to a lab where it's examined to detect abnormal cells. A teensy bit uncomfortable, but very fast, very important. Remember that most abnormalities detected are not cancer, but a Pap test is crucial, as early detection and treatment of precancerous growths keep cancer far away, where it belongs.

The Bimanual Exam. Two fingers in the vagina, one hand on the belly. The doctor's checking your uterus and ovaries to make sure everything's in line and nothing hurts. She's feeling around for any abnormal lumps or bumps in your ovaries, like cysts. She should ask you if you feel any pain. You should answer her truthfully.

The Rectal Exam. It is defy you to show me a girl who doesn't love a doctor's finger up her butt. One finger may also go in the vagina at the same time, to check the muscles between the two and make sure there are no tumours surfacing.
