Type: Perennial

Height: Plants can grow up to a height of 3 feet, if not trimmed.

Light: Plant them well-lit spots though not in direct sun.

What kids love?

The entire idea of seeing an animated plant is very fascinating to young minds. Kids love to touch the leaves and make them fold back. It is more live for them than most other plants they know of.

What to grow?

It is an easy way to grow plant and does not require much care. The plant is available at most nurseries. They are best put in a 6-inch diameter pot. But remember to trim the plant regularly to not let it grow very tall. Once the flowers start to bloom, cut them off for a thicker, bushy growth at the main stem.

For fun

Weave stories around the plant, or ask kid to come up with a story where the plant features as a main character, a shy princess may be! Kids love to see it respond to even the gentlest of touches and will excitedly make up stories. It will keep their imagination working and can be good game at a kiddie party you throw at home. The child with best story can win a chui-mui plant.
