Email Nevers

Never ever gossip in an email about anyone you work with. Furthermore, if you have the slightest suspicion that what you are saying might be considered inappropriate, don't put it in writing. As soon as you commit it to the electronic page, your name's attached to it, and with it the blame for all potential ensuing disaster.

Never choose an email font that's pink, cartoonish or otherwise gives the impression of balloonish handwriting with the hearts dotting the “i”s.

Never send email “forwards”. While you would, we assume, not put a little gold-plated placard above your desk that read. You would likewise never, ever forward chain letters, recipes, petitions or jokes, hilarious or otherwise, to your co workers.
