Through, Over, Out

If things get really gruesome with your boss, you have three basic options, and it's usually best to try them in order:

Talk to your boss and try to get through to her. Prepare beforehand and be straightforward about what's not working for you. Treat her like you would a normal, sane person, even if this has been proven to be patently false.

Go over your boss to a more senior manager and discuss the problem.

Get out. No job that sucks that badly is worth sticking around for.
