Say no to the open for classic business wear

Open-toe shoes can work in some workplaces where the mode of dress is smart or relaxed business clothing but never with classic business wear. Toe cleavage can have the same effect as bust cleavage and should not be highly visible. Remember the trouble Fergie got into with her toes.

Your shoes must be clean, polished and unstuffed

Being aware of the small details will show you to be a person who takes notice and gets things done.

Have a rubber sole added to new leather-soled shoes

In this case thin rubber sole is the best. It extends the life of your shoes and keeps you from slipping on highly polished floors and smooth carpets.

Make sure your feet are sandal worthy

If sandals are appropriate to wear ensure your feet are well presented. Your toenails should be manicured and polished and your heels should be smooth. Chapped, cracked heels and shipped nail polish will downgrade even the most elegantly presented woman.

The same goes for hands

Well-groomed fingernails are just as important as your toenails. Once again they should be manicured, buffed or polished.

Boots in business

Boots are not acceptable in classic business wear but if you are able to dress a little more casually ensure you wear your boots correctly. If you have short legs the hem of your skirt should cover the tops of your boots or you will look even shorter. For women with long legs, go ahead and flaunt it.
