A lady realizes that in some situations, there is still a chain of command.


When in a social situation such as having drinks after work she accepts without resistance her boss’s offer to pick up the tab.

If a lady is entertained in her boss’s home she treats her boss and her boss’s spouse just as she would treat any other host or hostess. She takes a small gift it seems appropriate.

If a lady receives a gift from her boss, she accepts it and expresses her gratitude. She understands that her boss does not expect a gist in return.

A lady realizes that does not suggest an exchange between friends.

If a lady finds that breaks with other workers are only an excuse of gossip, she avoids talking breaks with her coworkers.

A lady does not talk excessively about business at a social event. She leaves that to regular business hours during the week.

A lady offers to help her coworkers who must be off work because of religious or health process.

A lady stands when introduced to others at the office.

A lady makes a point to ask for an introduction to the wife or girlfriend of a married friend or coworker.

Workplace friendships are easy to begin and a lady must be careful to always keep her friendship with a married man in its proper place and content.

A lady speaks pleasantly and with a friendly tone when on the telephone. She does not put people on hold for extended period of time.

A lady realizes that the more professionally she presents herself in the workplace, the more seriously she will be taken.

A lady does not smack her gun at the office.

A lady is careful how she acts at the yearly office party.

A lady writes a thank-you note after a job interview.

A lady must leave her job, for whatever reason, she does so graciously expressing appreciation to management for her learning experience with that company.

A lady shows up on time for work.
